We partnered with Charles Stanley Wealth Managers, based in the City of London, to establish their first apprenticeship scheme. These 5 paid placements, for an 18 month period, will give young people an opportunity to understand the world of Wealth Management and gain practical experience. All whilst studying towards an apprenticeship standard qualification relevant to the role.
Supporting bright futures
On the day that the UK ushered in its new prime minister, all apprentices kicked-off their introductions to the business and their managers. They won't be making teas and coffees during their time - they'll be working as part of teams within the Middle Office and Finance departments to support the wider business.
As an apprentice, at least 20% of their working hours will be spent with a training provider on a course that will help their role and lead to a qualification. In addition to earning whilst learning, they have an entry point into a career path with lots of future potential.

With the soaring costs of living and university fees, going straight into the world of work is becoming a more attractive option for many young people. Although no previous work experience was needed to apply for these roles, the 5 talented candidates demonstrated commitment, a desire to learn and a willingness to contribute.
Throughout the programme, the apprentices will have the support of their line managers, the Learning & Development team, buddies, mentors and have access to a range of staff eager to support their journey. They're also able to network with each other as the first ever cohort of apprentices within the firm. At the end of their placements, they may have the option to progress into permanent roles within the business.
These apprenticeships go to the heart of what we do as a charity. Creating meaningful links between the worlds of education and work, and closing the opportunity gap for young people of diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
