WYZ For Work, our free online employability course preparing 13 – 18 year-olds for career success, has now launched! We help participants navigate from the classroom to their first job and beyond.
The course includes inspiration from industry professionals and participants can gain a nationally recognised accreditation. Young people who have opted for the accreditation route are eligible to apply for work experience opportunities with our partners after completion. You can enrol on the course by clicking here.
Our aim is to reach as many young people as possible, particularly those from Black, Mixed Heritage and Ethnic Minority backgrounds in order to tackle inequalities in employment and under-representation in leadership positions. Tim Campbell MBE, one of the many great contributors to our course, discusses how this course can help young people.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many students' learning and many have also missed out on work experience opportunities, this course is a great catch-up offer.
As with our previous course, WYZ Money, this course is delivered online and is entirely accessible by laptop, phone and tablet. Participants can work at their own pace and gain accreditation whilst learning.
We are committed to doing our part to create an equal starting line, creating fairer opportunities for all to thrive. To find out more about Open Palm's work and the issues we are addressing, read our recent article.
